Senior Buyer/Estimator
- Mequon, WI
- Senior Buyer & Estimator will analyze customer requirements, prints, and models to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Select appropriate machinery and processes to meet technical and cost objectives.
- Develop cycle times, parts-per-hour rates, and labor assumptions using CAD/CAM and estimating tools.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on work holding, fixtures, tooling, and gauging.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including tooling, lead times, and pricing for customer quotes
- Experience interpreting complex technical drawings, including GD&T in both metric and imperial
- Proficiency with CAD tools and file types, including STP and CATIA, with the ability to extract manufacturing data
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machining (3-, 4-, and 5-axis), turning, and automation
- Working knowledge of tooling, gauging, and fixture design as part of the estimating process
- Skilled in spreadsheets, quoting software, and data analysis tools
